Rare copy in original bindings of the Old Testament in the Pschitta version published by the Dominican monks at Mosul for the use of their mission in Iraq and Kurdistan. Done under the supervision of Archbishop of Damascus Clement Joseph David (1829-1890) and Georgius Ebed-Jesus Khayyath, Archbishop of Amid (Diyarbakir). A separately published third volume containing the New Testament was published in 1891 (and is not present). Some foxing; marginal tears; a few manuscript annotations. Extremities rubbed/ slightly worn.
